OK ..after sometime i am back on my pending blog. I will be posting all my favorite recipes as soon as i can. meanwhile Saturday i had few people over (our American friends) for cooking class with me. The ladies wanted to know how i make my chicken curry. My husband the party planner decided to keep a day for that and called it 'bollywood night'. so this Saturday we set the date for the 'party'. I thought just for fun make it also look like a bollywood kitchen. I got my colorful dupattas and hung it all over the windows and entrance. In the midst of party i totally forgot to take pictures of the decorations which i had spent a good one hour! well next time. so i decided to make my famous mini uthappams and coconut onion chutney. everybody loved it and they wanted to what was uthappam so to make it easy i told them it is 'indian burschetta' as i had tomatoes and cilanthros as a garnish on top. To me they did look like burshetta's !! according to my husband it as lick smacking good. then i added some vegetable rice (i made prior to the party) so i could get enough time to prepare chicken curry without any distractions and as in my house it is never just one or two varieties! i had also made choley to go with some naan. I omitted the naan making as i was dead tired after the preparation of chicken curry and also entertaining my curious guests at the same time. There were lots of compliments all evening. Everybody enjoyed and after the last guests left i could not wait to clean up and jump into the shower and collapse in my bed!! It was midnight before i could settle in for the night! and of course the next morning @ 7.30 i had promised my sri lankan friend a game of tennis accompanied by our husbands. I am proud to say we beat them at the game. Must be all the compliments that i got the previous night to gain extra confidence! loll.
